Minister for Energy and Utilities Don Harwin announced last week an independent review into the barriers to cost-effective recycled water initiatives will help NSW save water, save money and improve sustainability.

2017 Metropolitan Water Plan was released by the NSW Minister for Resources, Energy and Utilities and the Arts Don Harwin on 19 March 2017 and is now available through metrowater.nsw.gov.au.

Close to one million litres of water will be saved every day as a result of a ground-breaking partnership between the private sector and Sydney Water at the new residential and commercial development at Central Park Broadway, Minister or Natural Resources, Lands and Water Kevin Humphries announced today.

 

The NSW Government has today announced its plan to ensure the lower Hunter has sufficient water supplies in the event of a long drought. 

A key forum on engaging and educating the community on urban water planning issues, Showcase 2013, was officially opened today by the Minister for Finance and Services, Andrew Constance.

Community and stakeholder consultation plays a key part in the current review of the Metropolitan Water Plan. Consultation activities include workshops, online engagement on the Have Your Say website and community surveys.
